restored. For these consumers manufacturers have introduced acne scar fading creams. While scar creams are nothing new, and many of them have been ineffective in the past, the latest acne scar treatments are a whole new breed. Using the latest ingredients and the most advanced medical research in combination with a spectacular tissue repair peptide, acne scar fading creams are now not only effective, they can heal scarring in a matter of days. The author examines the best acne scar fading cream’s formula and breaks down why it is so effective.
When beginning your search for an effective acne scar removal treatment, it is important to slow down and read articles like this one to be sure you are abreast of the latest and most effective treatments. While this reading is not the most enjoyable, it is very informative and can help guide you towards making a better purchase and provide each of us more value for our dollar. Be sure to read about the most effective ingredients and which products have been rated the best by consumer reporting agencies. This gives you a great jumping off point for finding the best acne scar removal creams.
The best acne scar fading creams use a powerful combination of ingredients. The foundation of which is a peptide by the name of Collaxyl. This peptide is so powerful and effective in tissue repair that it revived a sample of dead skin, in clinical studies, and revived it to a healthy skin sample in only 72 hours. And what is even more amazing is that it only took one application! With healing power like that, you do not want your acne scar fading cream to use anything less effective that this award winning peptide.
The Ingredient list does not end there however. Consumers should rule out any cream that does not use Collaxyl, however there are a few other unique ingredients that if located can insure you have found a quality product. Rosehip Oil, native to the South American mountains, has proven to work wonders on the treatment of existing scar tissue while increasing the regeneration cycle within the skin. Rosehip Oil speeds healing and smoothes the texture of the scar tissue much more rapidly than the alternatives. Combined with anti inflammatory ingredients that help reduce the blood flow that originally caused the scarring these peptides can produce skin cell growth and tissue repair so effectively, that scar creams of the past simply fade in comparison.
Finding an effective scar fading cream is no different that finding many other skin care products. The search starts with the ingredients. By knowing what you are looking for, and following the advice of leading consumer agencies you can narrow down the starting point so you do not have to review so many companies. Once that list has been narrowed, look for the ingredients listed above. Colllaxyl and Rosehip Oil are a unique combination that only a few premier manufacturers use, finding an acne scar fading cream that uses both, ensures the quality of the cream. From there simply choose the brand you feel the most comfortable with and you are off to the races. The time you spend finding these creams will be paid back ten-fold when your complexion is restored. You have waited long enough, why bother waiting another day, find your acne scar fading cream today.
Natural Acne Treatments vs. Chemical
Consumers that suffer from acne are constantly making this decision whether they know it or not. Acne creams, clarifying creams and even acne cleansers are made with a variety of ingredients designed to clean, clarify and heal acne breakouts. But how close of attention do you pay to the ingredients that you choose to use? Chemical

Natural acne treatments are not only better for you, but also get rid of acne quicker.
based ingredients are wide spread in the acne industry, and the latest research shows that consumers should think twice before using such products, instead relying on all natural ingredients, provided they are of the same potency. The author examines the leading chemical based ingredients and the leading all natural ingredients, giving both pros and cons of each, helping you, the consumer, to make the right choice for your particular acne condition.
Chemical based acne products are wide spread as we mentioned earlier, but did you know that one of the most popular active ingredients in acne creams is actually harmful to your skin? The use of Benzoyl Peroxide is rather common and in many cases advertised in such a manner as to highlights its inclusion within an acne cream or system. The problem here is that Benzoyl Peroxide is very damaging to the skin and it provides significant risk to consumers who use these products for extended periods of time. Benzoyl Peroxide can be effective in the removal of acne, but at what risk? This ingredient has proven to actually cause free radicals within the skin, forcing consumers to replace acne with premature aging. In addition, testing has proven that prolonged use of this ingredient has led to the formation of tumors within the skin, which can obviously lead to serious problems.
The FDA has been investigating the long term damage of this ingredient, and they actually changed the category of safety for this ingredient way back in 1994, when they changed it from a safe products, to a category naming Benzoyl Peroxide as safety unknown. The FDA is continuing to investigate the long term damage or risk of prolonged use of Benzoyl, and hopefully within a few years, it will be off the shelves and consumers will be safe. In the meantime, it is up to us, the consumers, to read the labels and take responsibility for the ingredients we treat our skin with.
While consumers have been using this chemical based acne treatment over the past 15years, consumers have been on a constant search for an effective, safe ingredient that works effectively and is good for your skin. The search ended recently, when a study released by Oxford University named the all natural ingredient Resveratrol, as the number one ingredient in the treatment of acne. Resveratrol has a unique ability to reduce both the inflammation and redness of the acne breakout while eliminating the acne causing bacteria within the skin. This one-two punch is unparalleled and has dermatologists and experts worldwide recommending this ingredient over any other in the industry. There is one leading edge company already selling a Resveratrol Acne Treatment.
The choice of acne treatments have changed quite a bit over the years. And while many of us associate all natural or organic skin care treatments as less effective than their chemical based alternatives, the reality is that nothing could be further from the truth. Resveratrol works with a higher level of effectiveness than Benzoyl and it is actually good for your skin, protecting it from the very free radicals that benzoyl causes within the skin. Getting rid of acne should not mean that you must replace it with another skin condition, and now with the all natural Resveratrol, this has become a reality.
Treat Acne Best By Killing Bacteria
Anyone who has suffered from acne or knows someone who has; has probably read about what the causes of acne are. For those who do not already know, the most common cause of acne is bacteria. Sure the dead skin cells, and toxins, dirt and oils play a role, however without the presence of bacteria they would do little more than

Killing acne bacteria is key to curing acne, as long as the skin isn't damaged.
appear oily. Scientists and dermatologists have been researching the ideal ways to combat this bacteria without further irritating or harming the skin with little to no avail. A recent study published by Oxford University points to the ideal active ingredient in the battle against acne, and surprisingly for many it is all natural. Oxford University has named Resveratrol the premier solution for the treatment of acne, it not only reduces inflammation but it also removes the acne causing bacteria without harming the skin.
Now I know you may be thinking, I have heard of acne creams and treatments that work. You may have even seen some celebrities endorsing a few of them. The reality is that while these endorsements are nice and it would be nice to look like these actresses and singers, it does not mean that the product is effective and it certainly does not mean is safe to use. One of the most widely used active ingredient for the treatment of acne is Benzoyl Peroxide. This chemical based ingredient has proven to generate free radicals within the skin causing severe premature aging as well as caused tumors within the skin in some testing. Obviously risk this high is not worth it, not when you only have one set of skin.
These new developments, however, have proven that not only is there a safe way to prevent acne and treat existing acne but you can do so without harming your skin. Resveratrol, the active ingredient known to reduce heart disease and protect against the same free radicals caused by Benzoyl Peroxide, has now proven to be the most effective treatment for acne known worldwide. Resveratrol has two distinct characteristics that make it the ideal treatment for acne. It reduces inflammation, reducing the redness and visibility of the acne as well as reduces the chances of acne scarring. But it’s what else that Resveratrol does that has cause so many expert acclaims; its ability to also remove acne causing bacteria without damaging your skin. This combination is not duplicated by any other active ingredient in the acne industry. This one- two punch is the future of acne treatment right here today.
Finding any effective acne treatment is a simple as finding the right ingredients. The right ingredients focus both on the visible treatment of the acne, but also the underlying cause, the bacteria. Resveratrol natural anti biotic quality allows it to reduce bacteria levels within the skin so dramatically that most experts have now sworn completely off chemical based alternatives. As consumers, you are sure to be able to get plenty of harmful chemical based products, but you need to seek out the alternatives. Acne treatments or systems of treatments using Resveratrol are the answer you are looking for. By wiping out the acne causing bacteria, you are wiping all current and future breakouts, and that is something to celebrate over. Make sure your acne treatment uses Resveratrol and realize the 1-2 punch advantage it has over the competition.
Identifying The Best Acne Treatment
Anyone that has ever suffered from acne knows the importance of finding an effective treatment for their problem. This importance is magnified when they experiment with low quality or even worse chemical based products that only worsen the condition of their skin. The latest research shows that systems of products are much better

Finding the best acne treatment can be hard but with knowledge you can do it.
for the treatment of acne than singular ones, but how does a consumer know which one to choose? The author examines the latest and most effective acne treatments, uncovering a simple process for consumers to purchase the best acne treatment system.
Due to the popularity of acne creams and the ever increasing demand from consumers of all ages, many acne companies will go to any lengths to make you believe that their product is the best. It is important for us, as consumers, to keep this in mind, and not be convinced with little or no evidence or even documented results. Consumers are commonly persuaded by celebrity endorsements or other paid endorsements as they wish to identify on some level with those personalities. But unfortunately, that does not always translate into the most effective acne treatment, and consumers are often left frustrated and in some cases with even more damaged skin.
Now that you have focused on your objectivity, it is time to start rationally making a decision about our acne treatment of choice. What are the things we are looking for? Effectiveness is a must, we would like it to work fast, it must be safe to use and it should fit into our budget. Basic criteria like theses are a must before investing any money in a skin care product, especially one in the acne industry. We must examine each aspect individually in order to determine which product is right for us. What better place to start with than effectiveness?
When it comes to determining whether or not a product will work, it is important to start by looking at the ingredients. When it comes to active ingredients the most commonly known one is Benzoyl Peroxide. The problem is that this ingredient is very harmful to your skin, and it should be avoided at all costs, having proven to generate free radicals in the skin and even cause tumors in some testing. The most highly rated active ingredient for the treatment of acne is Resveratrol. This active ingredient, made famous by its ability to improve heart disease, has made its way into skin care recently as it is an anti oxidant, and anti oxidants help protect against premature aging. But it is not that aspect of Resveratrol that has its use in acne treatments today so celebrated, it is the fact that Resveratrol takes an unparalleled two prong approach to defeating acne that no other ingredient can do. Resveratrol not only soothes and relieves the inflammation that makes acne so unsightly and helps protect against acne scarring, but it also eliminates the acne causing bacteria. The higher the presence of Resveratrol in the skin, the lower the levels of acne causing bacteria, says a study by Oxford University. The study has catapulted Resveratrol to the top of a short list considered by dermatologists and experts worldwide as the best active ingredient for the treatment of acne.
Once you have identified which products have the best ingredients in them the list is much shorter. You have made sure the product is safe as well as fast and effective, so now you only need to find a brand that fits your budget. While this may not be as fun as hoping to look or act like celebrities, getting the results you have wanted for years can provide plenty of satisfaction. Stay objective, know what ingredients to look for, and more importantly which ones to avoid, and spend within your budget.
Dealing with Acne Scars and Aging Skin
It’s hard not to notice the number of anti aging and wrinkle cream companies that are now advertising or otherwise making their presence known to consumers. And the same can be said for acne treatment companies, an industry that is consumed with misleading celebrity endorsed products, there seems to be more advertisements daily.

What to do when you want to remove acne scars AND get an anti aging treatment? Find the right product line!
One skin condition that is common to both acne sufferers and to consumers trying to delay father time, is acne scars. Acne scars is a common occurrence for those with adult acne and when combined with the common symptoms of aging it leads to a appearance of sever premature aging. This unsightly, yet far too common skin condition will seldom be treated by the same product, however finding the right combination of products can provide consumers with just the treatment they have been hoping for.
Because of the high chances of irritation when combining treatments, acne scar sufferers must choose carefully to avoid further irritation to damage to the tissue. This means the products that they choose must have a unique combination of qualities. The products or brands chosen must deliver high, quality, medical grade ingredients, but that is not all that consumers need to look for. They must be sure that each of the ingredients is all natural. A common mistake of consumers is that all natural ingredients are less effective, but that is not the case at all. Both the best wrinkle cream and the best acne creams use all natural ingredients, and strangely enough, so does the best acne scar treatment.
By finding a brand or product line that uses all natural, medical grade products you are sure to have found a quality product. But the search does not stop there. You need to be sure to that the brand you choose contains both highly effective wrinkle creams and serums as well as acne scar creams. This is not as common as you may think, and is probably the reason so many consumers do not find the treatment they seek.
When you find the brands that do offer both treatments, be sure to choose both your anti aging treatment as well as your acne scar treatment carefully. The best way to do this is to take an honest assessment of the condition of your skin. This is always an important step as you must be able to look at your skin honestly, without over exaggeration. Identify the areas that need help the most, are they the eye area for wrinkles, or is the treatment of acne scars the primary goal. Does the skin on your neck need firming, or are you still experiencing acne outbreaks. By identifying the symptoms that need treatment in order of importance, you can then choose which cream or serum does the trick the best.
Quality skin care products are something that we all are looking for, but we do not always find it. Taking the word of consumer reviews and consumer protection organizations is a big part of the buying process. Be sure to invest the time needed to make the right decision, it wont take more than a few extra minutes to be sure you have found a brand that has the best reputation for both anti aging as well as acne treatment. This combination may just be what you have been looking for.
Dangerous Acne Treatments To Avoid
Sounds strange to say that consumers need to be aware and cautious about using skin care products that can be harmful to your skin, but it is very much a reality. As consumer awareness increases, it has now

Benzoyl Peroxide and other dangerous ingredients are in many acne treatments you should avoid.
The first thing that you need to realize is that you are not exempt from this concern. In fact, the likelihood that you have a product in your bathroom that can cause potential damage is very high. In order to protect yourself, you must first realize that you are in danger and should take steps to protect both you and your family. For consumers, protection begins with awareness; so consumers should become knowledgeable about the products that they use, the active ingredients within them and what, if any, are the side effects.
One of the largest examples of products like this is in the acne treatment niche. For decades consumers have used and felt confident in using products that contain the active ingredient Benzoyl Peroxide, despite documented and glaring concerns. This chemical based acne treatment has proven to generate free radicals within the skin leading to severe premature aging as well a far larger concern with prolonged use. Consumers that have used this product at length are also at risk of Benzoyl Peroxide causing tumors within the skin; imagine that. The FDA originally expressed their concerns about the product over 15 years ago changing the status of the ingredient to a much higher risk category and launched a series of long term tests, that are still waiting to be released. In the meantime consumers are using these products for both themselves as well as their children with little to no knowledge of the issue.
The FDA did mandate the documentation of these concerns on the labels of these products, yet consumers still remain unaware. They feel confident in the companies integrity or are swayed by a celebrity endorsement, but either way they are exposing both themselves and their loved ones to severe damage, or at the least significant premature aging. It is this that needs to change. Consumers need to read reviews of products, they need to investigate the clinical studies of active ingredients. Consumers should be aware that there are risks and approach each purchase with caution and diligence, making sure there are no concerns about the well being of consumers that use this product. As with acne treatment, where Resveratrol has proven to outperform Benzoyl Peroxide, there is often an all natural, risk free alternative that provides the same level of results without any of the concerns. Take the time to care about your skin and the skin of others, do the research, find the best products, the time you invest will come back to you ten-fold by using the highest quality products.
Can Acne Be Passed by Contact?
Many people think that acne can be passed from one person to the other simply by making contact with the skin. That by your skin making contact with skin containing an acne breakout, you are likely to contract an acne breakout. While

Many people think acne is contagious or can be caught by kissing.
there are many aspects of this discussion that can certainly be perceived as contagious, there are many other aspects that would contradict that thought process. The author takes a closer look that this social perspective and offers a simplified, yet factual summary to help improve consumer awareness on the topic.
To begin with acne is caused by a number of conditions within the skin, each with their own role in breakout. Many people commonly associate breakouts with high concentrations of dirt and oils within the skin, but there are other factors as well. Dead skin cells often clog the skin’s ability to detoxify itself and furthering the problem. But the largest cause of acne breakouts is bacteria. Bacteria grows within the skin causing breakouts, this condition is worsened by excess oils and dirt and of course dead skin cells, but most acne is caused by the bacteria itself and not the other conditions.
When people think of acne spreading, we do not exactly think of it as contagious. We think of it as our skin being in prolonged contact with someone else’s skin perhaps from kissing or other contact. Others also have concerns about sharing wash clothes, etc with someone with acne as they believe that excess dirt, oils and toxins transfer in this manner and cause breakouts. Both of these thought processes may seem logical, if not rational, but could this really be the cause of breakouts on others?
The reality is that your skin must have the bacteria growing at a certain level for this to actually cause an inflammation. For example, if you are struggling with acne and have acne prone skin, having your skin come in long contact with another’s dirty, oily skin may cause a breakout. The excess dirt and toxins may transfer to your skin and inflame an already existing problem, but it is unlikely to cause a breakout all on its own.
While part of acne treatment is certainly keeping your skin cleansed and free of toxins, there are many other aspects to the treatment. Treating the acne effectively means treating it at its source and the source is the bacteria. That means that acne cannot really be passed along from one person to the other unless that person’s skin was already prone to an acne breakout. While avoiding contact with oils and dirt is probably a good practice, it is important to realize the difference between irritating and existing condition and causing the breakout itself.
ZenMed Acne Treatment
ZenMed Acne Treatment got a Grade of C+

The Zenmed acne treatment review resulted in a fair grade.
The Zenmed Acne treatment “kit” is good and bad in some respects. Good is the fact that they don’t use Benzoyl Peroxide, but instead they use Salicylic Acid as their big “acne fighter”. This ingredient is far from the best as far as curing acne, but at least it’s safe. When you buy the Zenmed kit you get:
- 1 bottle of their cleansing gel
- 1 bottle of their acne treatment gel
- 2 bottles of pills that supposedly clean out your system
The pills that are used in acne treatments, and Zenmed is no exception, are often a waste of time, and WAY over priced. If you look at this kit, the majority of it is in the pills… 2 bottles, compared to 1 of the others. However, the cost of the pills can be compared to antioxidant pills in any health food store. Truthfully, you shouldn’t pay more than $9 for pills of this kind. So, the inclusion of the pills in their acne system is basically tricky little way to make consumers think they’re getting more bang for their buck. What you really get though, is a nice cleanser and acne gel, and two bottles of useless pills.
Let’s look at how the cleanser and acne gel work: As far as killing bacteria that causes acne, you’re not getting much power here. If your acne is serious, you will need to find a more powerful key ingredient that can kill the acne-causing bacteria. However, Zenmed took some great steps as far as treating the “other” side of acne. By “other”, we mean the redness and irritation that goes along with the acne. This is what makes the acne so visible, and is actually, more important to many people than curing the cause of the acne itself. By blending Vitamin C, Vitamin B5, Allointin, and Aloe Vera, the zenmed products will do a pretty good job to calm down your skin and get the redness and inflammation to become less.
The cost is a bit of a problem, however. At $99 or so, it is one of the more expensive acne treatments on the market. The main problem is that the pills are included, and they don’t do anything for you that you’re going to directly notice in your skin. So, you’re paying $99 for a 2 product acne treatment, and frankly, that’s too much. Considering the fact that the main acne killing ingredient is just Salicylic Acid, we feel that a more appropriate price would be $50 or so.
Overall our grade is decent, but not great. On the side of killing the acne causing bacteria, we grade them about a C. However, their ingredients that calm and soothe acne-prone skin are pretty nice, which boosts the grade up to a B. The price, however, knocks a few points off, and we end up with a C+ for our final grade.
Stick to ONE Acne Treatment
Those of us who have suffered from acne breakouts or worse the scars that result from them, we understand the importance of finding an effective treatment. We have also found out that jumping from one product to another can cause further breakout and

There can be significant benefits to finding one acne treatment and sticking to it for the long haul.
increased inflammation within the skin. This can be from a new acne cream itself, or the facial cleanser or daily skin care routine that you employ day in and day out. For this reason it is important that consumers take the time to research the brand and quality of products they are choosing to use, from the acne cream down to the cleanser with which they wash their face. Once settled on and comfortable with the brand of choice, consumers must stick to that treatment to maximize results and not bounce from product to product, as it will only result in further inflammation and increased breakouts.
Hearing that a facial cleanser is an important part of your daily skin care routine is nothing new to acne sufferers, but sticking to the same one may be. By choosing your facial cleanser wisely, consumers can actually treat many of the conditions of their skin while they cleanse away excess skin cells, dirt and oils. Cleansers that are specifically designed for acne are the best to choose from and if you are not sure if the product you like is one of them, it is most likely not. Acne cleansers will be clearly marked and will advise consumers of the ingredients being used to eliminate or reduce the breakouts of acne, and if yours does not, you need to take a closer look at choosing another product.
The best way to find a facial cleanser that will work on your acne breakouts is to first find the best acne cream. By identifying the best acne cream first; which active ingredients they use, and which acne products are receiving the best reviews from consumers who have used them, consumers can feel confident that they have found an excellent product line. Be SURE TO AVOID products that include Benzoyl Peroxide, as this chemical based ingredient both generates free radicals in the skin as well as causes tumors in the skin. Instead, look for acne creams that use ingredients such as Resveratrol. This all natural ingredient was proven to be the most effective acne treatment in a study by scientists at Oxford Univeristy. With an endorsement like that, it is hard to recommend that you use any other ingredient.
By focusing on the acne treatment first and assuring yourself you have found the highest of quality brands, you can then look at the cleansers and other products that lend themselves to the daily routines each of us employ. By focusing on quality first, the best acne treatments and then worked your way back to the rest of the product line, consumers know they have chosen the best of the best. This confidence is important as experts do not recommend that you switch and change products often during the treatment of acne. Breakouts can increase or become unmanageable with this behavior and consumers must work to protect against causing more irritation to the skin. Take the time to research the products you choose, and don’t rely on nonsense celebrity endorsed products. Once you have decided, stay the course and see these product lines through. Consistent treatment with the same active ingredients will not only produce better results, it will also reduce the amount of future breakouts consumers must endure.
Can a Cream Heal Acne Scars?
The thought of a cream actually having an effect on stubborn acne scars has long been thought of as a myth. Sure, there have been companies out there selling “miracle” creams that they claimed could heal up the scars, but none of them worked. Between the discoloration AND the actual skin cell damage, nothing was working, other than Laser or Doctor’s procedures.

Collaxyl heals dead skin cells and can actually help a scar heal into a state like it was prior to the injury (acne)
The answer was NO, Until Collaxyl was discovered, that is.
What is Collaxyl? It is a peptide based key ingredient in some VERY high end wrinkle creams. However, it was always being used to heal up wrinkles, and not properly formulated for its best use, which is healing the dead skin of scars. Now, that the industry has a legitimate peptide that can stimulate cells to grow, and actually can heal DEAD SKIN, it appears that there is a chance that a cream really COULD heal acne scars.
But healing the skin cell damage isn’t the only part of erasing acne scars… The dark color and “bruised” color is just as important
The key for a cream to actually be able to make acne scars go away would be to contain ingredients like Collaxyl that could actually heal the dead skin cells, but ALSO soothed, calmed and speeded the healing of the bruises and discoloration associated with the scar. Sure, there are dangerous skin lightening treatments like kojic acid or hydroquinone, but those have links to dangerous side effects, and are even banned in some countries. Risking your health isn’t worth it. There are, however, some natural ingredients which can do the same trick… make the discoloration go away.
1. Niacinamide
2. Asefetida extract
Both of these are all natural, derived from vitamins or plant extracts and really do, safely and effectively make the discoloration or bruising of an acne scar go away.
Lastly, if a “scar removal” cream like that exisited, that was MADE FOR PEOPLE WITH ACNE-PRONE SKIN it would be perfect. The majority of the “scar removal” skin lightening products out there are made for scars in general, and are highly likely to irritate the skin of an acne sufferer. More likely, even, is the chance that one of these creams would clog the skin, or stimulate acne breakouts. That would certainly negate any benefits.
SO does a cream that can heal the dead skin cells with Collaxl, and make the discoloration go away naturally and safely actually exist?

Yes! The Dermajuv Acne scar fading cream comes by itself, OR as part of the Acne Scar Reduction System (pictured) that includes a detoxifying cleanser. The Dermajuv Acne Scar Fading Cream is the only product on the market that is designed to SPECIFICALLY remove ACNE scars. Yes, there are scar removal creams out there that treat scars “in general” but anyone who suffers from acne scars knows that acne scars are a totally different thing than a traditional scar from a cut or wound. Also, let’s not forget that acne sufferers need to watch out for clogging pores or irritating the skin, which all the “general scar removal creams” don’t even think about. Lastly, there is the whole issue of discoloration or that “bruised look” that acne scars have, which is completely forgotten about by the other scar removal creams. The bottom line is that Dermajuv is addressing a precise, specific group of people who suffer from acne scars. They are not worried about making a product for the “masses” that will sell millions.. but rather, a product that really works for acne scar sufferers. And oh yeah… it works.
Visit Dermagist.com to learn more or buy.
Why do we at AcneCream.com feel so strongly about this acne scar cream? Well, because we are acne sufferers both current and former, and we know how frustrating it can be to deal with the scars, or try to remove them with products that were not made precisely for them.
As a summary statement regarding the Dermajuv Acne Scar Fading Cream the best thing we can say is “This is a one of a kind product that really works, and you owe it to yourself to use it.”. How’s that for a statement? Well the stuff is great and we are happy for the acne sufferer community that Dermajuv is conscious enough to have released this product.
Exposed Acne Treatment
The Exposed Acne Treatment Kit we gave the grade of C+

Exposed Acne Treatment offers calming ingredients but still uses Benzoyl
The four piece kit from Exposed Acne Treatment gives you a lot of stuff for your money… A Cleanser, a Clearing Tonic, An Acne Treatment Serum, and a Clear Pore Serum. It seemed like a lot of stuff for acne-prone skin to deal with, and quite a pain to put on each day, but we kept an open mind.
First, we were happy with one thing we saw. The fact that this acne kit contains ingredients designed to soothe and calm irritation. Hey, that’s one of the biggest parts of acne.. the Redness, and visibility of the pimples that we deal with. If nobody could see the acne, we wouldn’t really care too much about having it, would we? At any rate, the ingredients like olive leaf extract, green tea, and licorice are known to calm down redness and reduce the swelling and irritation that often goes with having acne. However, we would have like to see MORE of the more powerful calming agents that some other treatments contain.
That was as far as the “Good news” about this product went as far as the ingredients are concerned. Another product built around the active ingredient, Benzoyl Peroxide, you are putting your health and skin at RISK if you use this. The free radicals that Benzoyl Peroxide builds in your skin have links to cancer, and can damage you MUCH like unprotected time in the sun can.
We gave Exposed a try with a tester who was an 18 year old woman. Her acne was primarily on her cheeks and around the mouth area. She got slight results during the first week. Her skin was not as dry as some of the other cases we have experienced with a Benzoyl Peroxide product. However, there was a shiny-ness to her skin that she reported she did not like. After the 2nd week, there was not much more improvement, although she did report that her cheeks were slightly less red than they were prior to the treatment. At the end of the third week, she was reporting no new progress, and discontinued use. The overall impression of the user was that the product was “OK” but certainly didn’t do what she had hoped, in terms of making her acne go away.
As an overall review of the product, it is hard to recommend this product, due to the harsh side effects and cancer links that Benzoyl Peroxide has, especially when the results were not stellar.
How To Correctly Pop A Pimple
Now, I know what you are thinking, we are always told to leave a pimple alone. To let nature take its course, allow your skin to

There is a right way to pop a pimple without further irritating your acne.
heal and force yourself to tolerate the unsightly legion. While that is very easy to say, it is much harder to walk into that important business presentation or attend a first date with a puss-colored zit on full display. While we should all do our best to wait until a pimple is “prime” to pop, there are many cases where popping the pimple is actually therapeutic in the healing process. For those of you who have trouble resisting the urge to squeeze your zits and pop your pimples, you should be sure that you are doing it correctly, as to cause no further damage that could ultimately results in acne scars.
The first thing to do once you realize that there is no stopping you from popping this pimple before you leave the house is to slow down, take a deep breath and realize that there is a right way and a wrong way to do this. The right way is a simple process that can actually help speed healing, the wrong way can result in acne scars and cystic acne, both of which are quite unsightly. A deep breath allows you to step away from the mirror and prepare to do this correctly.
Ok, let’s start by cleansing both our hands and our face. I am not asking for a complete facial scrub here, but a gentle cleansing and light pat down. You want your skin to be clean, and do not need to further irritate the lesion causing additional breakouts. Once you are clean, it’s time to clean a needle. The best way to do this is with rubbing alcohol, it is usually handy and highly effective.
Now that you have sterilized a needle, gently prick the surface of the pimple or zit itself. This does not need to be deep but must break the surface. You are trying to provide an outlet for the infectious fluid to release through, so be sure to precise. Once the surface has been pricked, you are ready to actually do the popping.
We all get a bit excited about this part of the process, no need to lie. But while watching pimples popping can be intriguing, you must concentrate on what you are doing, and not whether or not it reaches the mirror! Wrap your fingers in tissue, just a bit, and apply your fingers to either side of the pimple. Press in both a downward and inward motion, equally with both fingers. This should not need to be excessive force, if the pimple does not pop easily it is not yet ready and should be left alone. That’s right, walk away, leave it alone. If it does pop, squeeze steadily until all puss is gone and a clear liquid or blood appears. Once you see either one, stop squeezing, you are done.
The process is actually very easy, but you would be surprised by the number of mistakes that people make. It is very common to over work, or squeeze excessively on pimples or lesions of pimples. This overworking of the skin can result in inflamed, tissue that develops into scar tissue leaving you with a permanent reminder of your mistake. While popping pimples is not the best way to handle acne, it is a reality of life. But just because we are going to pop them, does not give us an excuse to turn it into a sport!! Take the time to follow these simple steps, you will accomplish your goal of removing the unsightly breakout and you will have taken no risk in long term damage.
Oxford Study Points To New Acne Cure
We have all heard about the miraculous benefits of Resveratrol, the molecules in red wine that have been seen on TV on major shows like Oprah, Dr. Oz, Barbara Walters, and the like. This compound has such miraculous properties when it comes to anti-aging that Oxford University decided to study it further. As it turns out, they uncovered a dramatic cure of acne vulgaris (Acne), without all the scary side effects that Benzoyl Peroxide has.
Rather than just take our word for it, if you want to read the actual study on Oxford’s research site, you can see it here: Get the Resveratrol Acne Cure Study

Prestigeous University Oxford reveals a study that shows Resveratrol as better acne cure than Benzoyl Peroxide.
The main discovery of the study is that Resveratrol was effective at killing ALL the various types of skin bacteria that cause acne. Additionally, at proper doses, it performs better on curing the acne than the most popular (and most dangerous) alternative, Benzoyl Peroxide. Read more about the cancer links and dangerous side effects of Benzoyl Peroxide.
The bottom line is that by using a specialized acne treatment that contains Resveratrol, properly refined, you get a great cure for your acne, PLUS you get the side-benefit of giving your skin all the anti-aging benefits that Resveratrol is already famous for. Perhaps the best part, however, is that you can finally say goodbye to using products with Benzoyl Peroxide.
Take Note However: Please don’t take this article as the “Green light” to go running out and buying any skin cream with resveratrol in it, or to take resveratrol pills in hopes of curing your acne. Creams or pills that are not SPECIFICALLY designed for acne treatment may, and probably do, have other ingredients in them which can cause a reaction in your acne or pores, and possibly make your acne worse. You want to be SURE to treat your acne with a properly engineered ance product.
At this time, we came across only 1 Acne Treatment, consisting of a facial cleanser and an acne cream which features Resveratrol. Designed exactly for the purpose of curing acne and improving acne-prone skin, the Dermajuv Acne Treatment System uses many ingredients that calm, sooth, and cleanse the skin and combine it with the key ingredient, Resveratrol. Believe it or not, it is competitively priced, even though it is the pioneer of this kind of acne cream.
Different Types of Acne
Acne is very common among many individuals. It is a skin disease that has to do with oil glands. Many people of different ages suffer from this skin disorder every day. There are different types of acne that people can get. The most common type of acne is

called acne vulgaris. It is known to be a chronic inflammatory type of acne that has over active oil glands. The hair follicles become filled with oil that cannot escape and then this leads to bacteria on the skin. This type of acne starts at an early age and effects mainly the face and other parts of the body with blackheads, pimples and cysts.
Acne cosmetica is another type of acne that is caused from using excessive makeup on the skin. Some ingredients in make up such as lanolin and other greasy ingredients can cause this type of acne to occur. It starts out as small bumps and normally is not a severe type of acne. This acne effects young and older women who wear heavy makeup. If this type of acne occurs you will need to stop wearing your makeup or switch what you are using.
Another type of acne is called acne excoriee. This normally occurs in young girls and starts out as maybe one pimple that when scratched excessively leads to scarring on the skin. This sometimes is known to happen because of a nervous situation. It starts out small but can worsen if it is scratched or picked at a lot. One more type of acne is called cystic acne. It is a severe type of acne that happens when a pimple breaks open under the skin and not on top of the skin. This acne can cause pain and swelling as the body fights the infection. It can start on the back, neck, arms, and shoulders. This acne is easy to leave scarring if not carefully attended to.
One more type of acne is called occupational acne. This acne effects people who work at a job that involves oil and grease. It can cause blackheads to form in the skin that is sometimes hard to get rid of. There are many types of acne that occur in people of all ages. You should always find a safe treatment for your type of acne to keep it under control.
How Diet Effects Your Acne
Do you think the old saying “you are what you eat” is true? Well the fact is that when it comes to acne the food you eat does not cause acne per se but it can cause internal reactions that do cause acne. Your diet can also play a part in

What you eat can effect your acne breakouts. Creams and treatments without proper diet could be a waste.
how severe your case of acne is and how soon it will clear up. It is thought that acne may also be an allergic reaction to certain foods or groups of food. The theory is that the body is trying to rid itself of toxins caused by an allergic reaction to the food. When your body starts to push the toxin from your body it presents itself externally with inflammation and acne papules.
Research shows that high glycemic foods can cause acne because these types of food cause the body to produce higher levels of insulin. This is especially true in males and especially teenage males that are going through major natural hormonal changes. Dermatologists recommend that you avoid foods in this group especially during times in your life where your body is going through major hormone changes. These periods include puberty, pregnancy and menopause. The foods in this group include many nuts, soft drinks with high amounts of sugar and carbonated water and most dairy products. You do not have to abstain from these foods but the intake of them should be limited.
On the other hand, there are foods that can help the body naturally rid itself of toxins and therefore decrease the effects and severity of acne. This group includes fresh fruit and vegetables, any food with whole grains and drink plenty of water and vegetable juices. The root cause of all acne is internal imbalances. The more you can do to decrease internal imbalances the less severe your acne will be. Other things that cause internal troubles that can lead to acne include stress, certain medications, disease and any other factors that change what is happening inside your body. The more you can do to lessen these factors the less you will suffer from acne. Take as much stress out of your life as possible do not take unnecessary medications and keep yourself as healthy as possible. If you do suffer from acne, consult a dermatologist for more treatment options.
Clearing Up Teen Acne
Teens seem to have more acne then any other age group. One way to prevent teen acne is to take action and fight back. There are many acne treatments on the market today that can help to clear up acne. Acne can make people feel uncomfortable about the

way they look. It can lower self-esteem and make people feel like they are not clean enough. Even though teens can be very clean about themselves, they can still have problem acne due to producing excess oil on their face. To help minimize acne washing your face at least twice a day can help to remove the excess oils from your skin. Using a mild cleanser will be more gentle on your skin and will not aggravate your acne as much. When washing your face remember that, a couple times a day is enough. If you wash your face, too much it can produce more oil.
Some more advice for teen acne is to stay away from products containing alcohol. Using alcohol on your face can make the glands create more oil. This is the last thing you want when fighting acne is to have a lot of oil on your skin. Alcohol may keep your skin dry but may also cause more breakouts. Never pick at your face when you have acne. Squeezing a blemish will make it larger and cause more infection. The worse thing is taking a chance of making a scar on your face. You should leave your acne alone and give it the time it needs to clear up without disturbing it. Many people that pick at their acne have found out that it takes longer to heal when they do this then if they do not pick at it. Touching or rubbing your face can move bacteria further into your pores so keep your hands away from your face.
Teens should watch what type of makeup they use when they have acne. Many people try to cover acne over with makeup so that it is less visible. Just try to stay away from certain cosmetics that can make the skin more irritable. Use products on your face that will keep your pores from clogging up. Choose an acne treatment that works for you and stick with it to have fewer breakouts. If you are a teen and your acne is severe, visit your doctor to see what type of treatment that your doctor would suggest for the type of acne that you have. You can also find many over the counter products to try that may work well for fighting your acne.
Caring For Back Acne
Do you have acne on your back? Since the back is generally unseen, do you need to treat acne that is on your back? This is a question that is asked by many people that have acne on their back. People think that since acne will

Back acne can be painful and embarrassing as well as diffiult to treat.
eventually go away they do not need to treat acne that is on their back but consider going to the beach, gym or other places where your back may be exposed. The good news is that there are effective and permanent solutions for acne on your back or any other area of your body.
There are other reasons to treat back acne other than the times in your life when you may have to expose your back and feel the embarrassment of the acne on your back. One of the main reasons is that if your acne is cystic acne that goes deep into the skin it can be painful. Blackheads and whiteheads do not cause as much pain but they can be annoying and embarrassing. Another reason to treat acne on the back is that if not treated it can become more widespread than acne on other parts of the body and it can be more difficult to treat. There are a couple of theories as to what causes acne on a persons back. Some people feel that the toughness of the skin is one underlying cause. Others think it is the large number of sebaceous glands that are present in the area. These glands produce a large amount of oil, which can cause acne especially large painful nodules. Then there are the normal culprits that cause acne anywhere on the body. Blocked hair follicles, lack of nutrients, hormone imbalance and other internal factors.
For the most part the root cause of all acne is internal. With this being said the internal cause must be treated in order to treat the acne. It is a good idea to use external medications to lessen the pain and appearance of the acne but to treat it permanently you must fix the internal problems. The internal problem is going to be hormone imbalance and toxins that cannot escape the body. Stress, age, medications and other factors can cause hormone imbalance. Change your life as much as possible to lessen this factor by taking as much stress as possible out of your daily life, and take as few medications as possible. There is not much that can be done about the hormone changes that happen at certain times in your life. Change your diet. Although food is not the cause of acne, certain foods can cause reactions that cause glands to overproduce oil. Some of the foods that can cause reactions are nuts, carbonated soda and dairy products so you will want to avoid these as much as possible. Eating vegetables, whole grains and drinking plenty of water and vegetable juice will all help decrease acne.
Acne Myths Part 1
Acne is a disorder that can affect any person of any age and this has caused a large number of myths to be
there are some myths about acne that many people believe
associated with the disorder. This article will cover some of the most common myths about acne and then give the factual answer.
The first myth is that acne does not need treatment because it will clear up on its’ own. While it is true that over time acne will clear up it should still be treated. Treating acne will shorten the time it takes for it to go away and it will lessen the chance of it reappearing. Treatment will also lessen any permanent damage to the skin such as scarring. The second myth is that dirty skin causes acne. Actually dirty skin does not cause acne. Scrubbing your skin too much or too hard is not recommended since it can worsen the condition. When you clean the areas of your body that are affected by acne, you should wash it gently and dab it dry. You should do this two to three times a day.
Another myth is that stress causes acne. The truth of the matter is that there is no evidence that stress directly causes acne. However, stress can cause chemical reactions in the body that can make acne worse. The next myth is that food causes acne. The truth is the same as stress that food has not been proven to be a direct cause of acne but certain foods can worsen or lessen the severity and duration of acne. Another misconception is that exposure to the sun can dry the skin therefore helping acne. The fact is that while there is proof positive that long-term exposure to the sun is harmful to the skin there is no proof that it cures or even lessens acne.
The biggest myth of all is that only teenagers suffer from acne. The truth is that anyone at any age can have acne. Changes in hormones caused by puberty, menopause, pregnancy and certain medications can all lead to acne in anyone. The worse myth is that you can get rid of acne by squeezing pimples. The truth is that squeezing and picking at pimples is a sure way to cause permanent scarring. Lastly, it is believed that make-up will not affect acne one way or the other. The truth is that almost all make-up will cause an adverse reaction to acne. There are cosmetics available that can be used with acne.

Accutane
Accutane, according to the FDA, can be the source of serious depression for many of its users. It has caused miscarriages (ranging from weeks pregnant to 7 months of gestation). For those cases where pregnancy was not terminated, there has been a high incident of birth defects known as Accutane Babies. It is a terrible thing to consider, and unfortunately it is not only pregnant women who suffer side effects, in fact, there is no true way to know who will be effected negatively by this product and who will not.
For those of us who are not pregnant, the documented side effects of Accutane are just as concerning. From structural organ damage to vision loss, cysts and damage to the liver. For others serious psychiatric damage is common. In the UK alone, there have been many cases of psychosis and even schizophrenia. For others the damage is so debilitating to their psyche that they have taken their own life.
Overall
Look, what is it that you want us to say here? There is a strong likelihood that this product may work to eliminate your acne. There is also a decently likelihood that you will be affected by side effects. If you go to the doctor regularly and you are not concerned with these types of side effects, then this may be the answer you have been looking for. For us, there is no way that we can ever recommend a product with this high level side effects, especially considering the severity of them.
The product is sold by resellers and therefore the source of the products may not always be verified. However the pricing is reasonable. No matter what pregnant women should never use this product, and if anyone else is confident enough to proceed with this acne treatment given the concerns, please do so at your own risk. There are high enough quality products out there to produce long term results that do not risk the damage of almost every aspect of your body. For us, it’s far too big of a risk.
Proactiv
We rate Proactiv Acne System a C
Proactiv 3 step acne treatment system consists of a cleanser, a toner, and a repairing lotion. These three products are the base package, and then Proactiv will sell you an additional moisturizer or oil remover if you desire. The active ingredient in all three of the products is Benzoyl Peroxide. Read more information on the dangers of Benzoyl Peroxide, or benzoyl peroxide links to cancer.
We started off reading up on Proactiv before we even used it. There are lots of complaints from people who claim that their acne got better, but then shortly after got much worse. There are also lots of complaints saying that people’s skin dried out way too much to continue using it. Lastly, the other common complaint was that the acne seemed to get more irritated, and turned bright red and was more noticeable than it was BEFORE even starting the product. Overall, we saw about 10 complaints to every 2 positive responses. We started to catch on to the fact, that Proactiv’s HUGE advertising budget is intended to just bulldoze all the bad complaints out of the way. It seems to be working, because a LOT of people have tried this product.

Here are some of the Big Dangers with Benzoyl Peroxide you might not know about… pretty risky, considering the fact that it is no huge help in removing the acne in the first place. The risk outweighs the reward by far.
- the FDA changed its status in 1995 from Category I (safe) to Category III (safety unknown)
- It causes Free Radicals in the skin, just like unprotected time in the sun
- There are links to cancer in the use on mice
- The free radicals slow down the healing process of skin, so the redness and sores of acne take LONGER to heal
- It drys and irritates the skin, often times making acne look worse or become more painful
