Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the most commonly used ingredients in acne treatments. It is considered a category 3 by the FDA, which means the safety is unknown. When it first came out, it was declared a category 1, but further research was conducted linking benzoyl peroxide to skin tumors in mice and hamsters. Studies are still being done to determine safety. These products are not only tested on animals, but in tests of mice and hamsters, it proved to be a skin tumor promoter. The FDA has said “the agency has determined further studies are necessary to adequately assess the tumorigenic potential of benzoyl peroxide.” And this product is in almost all acne treatments, unknown dangers and all.

It is a free radical that damages skin structure and cellular DNA. Use of benzoyl peroxide is compared to unprotected sun exposure because it removes the top protective layer of skin. BP is also NOT safe to use during pregnancy as it is unknown whether it passes through breast milk, meaning your child could possibly ingest this drug. Benzoyl Peroxide can bleach towels, eyebrows, and hair. It dries out the skin and commonly causes redness and irritation. It has been called the “miracle of acne treatments” because it can clear the skin. Besides the irritation it causes the skin, benzoyl peroxide doesn’t treat the causes of acne, it just clears it up temporarily. Once you discontinue use, you will absolutely see the acne come back.

You are better off going with an all natural product for your acne treatment. Anything natural is going to contain low to zero free radicals. Free radicals are pollutants in the air caused by chemical processes. We are exposed to over 5,000 free radicals a day from products we put on our skin, toxins in the air, and unprotected sun exposure. Everyone heard when red grapes/wine started to show results in fighting aging with the body including its benefits for your heart. New studies show that the antioxidant Resveratrol that comes from the red grapes/wine has benefits ranging from an antibiotic agent to weight loss. Resveratrol fights those free radicals we are exposed to everyday by stabilizing those agents and stopping potential damage. By fighting these free radicals, you are keeping a lot of compounds that are carcinogenic from ever being processed in our body. It also clears up the acne causing bacteria and decreases the number of bacteria on the skin and acts as a healing agent to damage done by acne such as inflammation, redness, and acne scars. Patients in a recent study in Italy showed their acne bacteria decreased by 66.7% from a Resveratrol gel applied to the skin for 60 days.

Resveratrol is also known for slowing down the aging process, which is how the product had first become known. When we first started hearing about the benefits of Resveratrol (or red wine) it was in reducing heart disease. Now studies are showing it helps prevent against neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and Huntingtons and prolong life. Naturally, the SIRT1 gene decreases as we age which is where a lot of aging diseases start. Resveratrol activates the SIRT1 gene which is the one that protects the cells and keeps them healthy. It also is showing that it speeds up your body’s metabolism which shows weight loss benefits. In a study of weight loss benefits of Resveratrol, subjects ate 13% fewer calories and sped up the Resting Metabolic Rate (the rate which our metabolism is burning fat and energy when we are not active) by 29%, just by Resveratrol doses.

Knowing what is in the products you apply to your face is your best bet in the acne world. There are many products that will clear up your acne temporarily, but can also have potentially dangerous effects. If you are looking for an acne treatment instead of an “acne break” you want to go natural and stay away from harsh chemicals like Benzoyl Peroxide. Resveratrol is has a lot of benefits to your acne, but has even more benefits to your body from anti-aging to weight loss to fighting neurodegenerative diseases.

If you have ever suffered from acne, breakouts, or blemishes, you know the aggravation that comes with it. Especially if you are like me and take excellent care of your skin. But sometimes washing twice a day and watching what you put on your face just isn’t enough. In my experience with dealing with people who suffer from the same issues I do, there isn’t one solid answer on how to stop breakouts. I have tried every product out there claiming to be “overnight blemish cures” and “all-in-one treatments” but the facts are that nothing is overnight and there are no miracle products. When you find a product that works for you, the key is persistence and following through.

Recently, I started a whole new battle with acne. Between birth control, working out, and just being a teenager in general is enough to completely destroy your skin. 85% of teens between 12 and 24 have acne. I ran out of the acne wash that I had been using for months and decided to try something new. Immediately I am concerned because trying new products and giving them enough time to see results is very hard. While waiting to see if it is going to work for my skin, I have to deal with blemishes and pimples. The most difficult part is dealing with the breakouts for a week or two and finding out that this is clearly not going to work for me. Time to start on a new cycle.

I am one in a million in the acne battle. Acne doesn’t discriminate against age, sex, or race. 60 million people are suffering from acne today. Acne goes beyond those gross skin bumps and oily faces. It leaves scars. Anyone who has dealt with serious acne knows the scars I am referring to. Once you finally get your face cleared up, now you have scars that you have to cover up. You cover them up with make-up, which in turn gives you acne! You just feel like you can’t win. I have tried prescription medication, topical creams, vitamins, scrubs, everything you could think of!

I have finally found a product that is working for me and I make sure I use it twice a day everyday. The keys to keeping your skin clear is knowing what breaks out your skin and targeting those things. For me, my make-up makes my skin break out. I wash my face as soon as I get home from work so I can spend the least amount of time in make-up. I have also switched to organic make-up which has seemed to help. I also have been getting more break outs since I started working out. I go home and shower immediately after including washing my face, but that just wasn’t enough. I have found taking off all my make-up and washing the oil off my face before seems to work for me. When you sweat, your pores open and that allows whatever is on your face to seep into your pores. My point is that you have to watch your face. You have to find out what is causing it and what to do differently.

The biggest thing my acne affects is my self confidence. I can lose weight, get my hair done, or get a brand new wardrobe and none of it will make me confident if I look in the mirror and see my face is broke out. Sure, I can get make-up to cover all my blemishes and raise my confidence. But we all want to feel pretty without make-up. The person whose opinion I value the most is the person who sees me the most without any cover up on my face. I don’t want to have to wear make up to the beach or running to the store real quick.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to monitor your body when you have acne. Acne is caused from what you eat, drink, hygiene, medications, bacteria, hormones, etc. When you start to notice what things cause which reactions regarding your acne, it will help you narrow down what is going to help and what is clearly hindering. Take it from a girl that knows acne inside and out!

The prevention and healing of acne comes from everything we do. One of the things that we don’t think about as much when it comes to acne is what we consume. One of the best ways to heal acne and keep those flare ups from happening as frequently is to make sure the body is getting the proper nutrition, which can be hard with the typical Western Diet. We tend to have fewer nutrients in our diet because most of our food is cooked. When you cook or overcook your food (refined/processed foods) it causes it to lose vitamins and minerals and destroy the enzymes your body needs to break down and process these foods. When your body has a harder time breaking down food it can’t absorb the remaining nutrients and expels toxins through the skin. Cooked foods generally have over 50% less nutrients then raw foods.

When looking at foods to consume, you want to stay away from anything white or processed. A low glycemic index is ideal for not only a healthy body but healthy skin. When you are eating a higher glycemic index (more refined carbohydrates) your body produces more insulin which leads to sebum productions. Sebum is the oil responsible for the growth of acne causing bacteria. Consider good carbohydrates versus bad carbohydrates when looking at foods. Whole grain breads and pastas instead of white allows your body to absorb more nutrients. Other examples of good carbohydrates (low glycemic index) are brown rice, unprocessed oatmeal, sweet potatoes, beans, and raw fruits and vegetables. Avoid things like white rice, instant oatmeal, cooked veggies, and white potatoes.

Lean protein is also essential to healthy skin. Eating chicken, salmon, turkey, eggs, and greek yogurt are a good way to get the “good protein”. Eating an excess amount of red meat causes the skin to inflame more easily. Omega 3 fatty acids are another good way to keep down inflammations. Shrimp, tuna, tofu, soybeans, and flax seed (try it in a smoothie!) are good sources of the essential fatty acids. Again, the rawer something is, the more nutrients so try eating fish raw or lightly seared.

Vitamin rich foods are a requirement for the body. As I had mention before, typically the Western Diet lacks at least 50% of the daily recommended value of vitamins and minerals. This deficiency increases the hormone production which in turn triggers acne. Vitamin A prevents and clears up skin infections and is commonly referred to as Retinol. Foods rich in vitamin A include carrots, spinach, beats, apricots, and bell peppers. Vitamin B5 and B6 are also important. You can find vitamin b in fish, liver, lean protein, beans, and chicken. Vitamin C protects the body from acne scarring and activates healing toward damage. Some natural sources of this are tomatoes, cabbage, melons, kiwi, asparagus, and oranges.

Free radicals are one of the worst things for the skin but also the most unavoidable. You have over 5,000 exposures to free radicals in one day. A free radical is chemical particles that are the by-product of chemical processes. They come from pollution, unprotected skin exposure, and products applied to the skin. One of the worst things you can use on your face is benzoyl peroxide. It is a free radical that causes stinging, itching, and over drying. Essentially everything you use on your body is a free radical and can be treated with antioxidants. Vitamin E helps eliminate free radicals and promotes healing. You can find vitamin E in almonds, corn, eggs, and leafy greens.

Antioxidants contain natural chemicals that attack the free radical and stop potential damage. Two powerful antioxidants are Selenium and Resveratrol. Selenium helps maintain healthy skin and nails and can be found in almonds, onions, garlic, and whole wheat. Resveratrol fights free radicals and helps protect against skin cancer. It can be found in grapes, blueberries, and pomegranates. The lack of antioxidants in our diet could be one of the main causes of acne. Cultures around the world that are mostly plant based have fewer incidents of acne. Good antioxidant rich foods consist of cherries, berries, and spinach. Green tea is also rich in antioxidants and is used for an anti-inflammatory as well.

Water is very important when you are talking about good skin. Water helps diminish breakouts by helping the body flush toxins that would otherwise produce the acne causing bacteria. When you are well hydrates, the body produces less oil. You want to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and eat foods high in water content such as watermelon and cucumbers. Drinking more water will also keep you away from those sugary processed drinks. Another drink you need to watch the intake of is milk. Milk has a lot of benefits to the body and a glass here and there is not going to hurt you. But in recent studies, it’s been shown that people who consume a glass of milk a day have an increased prevalence of acne. The reason being is that milk has a high hormone level in it and those hormones trigger excess oils. Water is the best way to go when you are considering your skin.

When thinking about skin care, you have to think about it from all angles. We mostly think about washing the face and acne treatments. But you have to start with the inside out. What you put into your body is what you can expect out. It is just as important to make sure you get the proper nutrients for your body as it is to make sure you have good hygiene. Finding foods that you like from the examples above can have dramatic changes on not only your skin but your body as well. But with acne, you can’t just fight it from one area; you need to make sure you are looking at all aspects. Eating healthier foods and maintaining your acne from that aspect isn’t going to guarantee you clear skin, it will help. You still need to practice good hygiene, and vise versa.

Many women suffer from hormonal acne, present only surrounding their monthly period. Acne is an unnecessary additional to an already stressful time of the month, and consumers crave the treatment of it. Effective treatment is not difficult, provided you understand what it is to look for. Take the time to read on if you too would like to resolve your monthly hormonal acne.

If you are like many women out there that suffer from periodic acne, you may have experience with hormonal acne. Usually prominent during, or surrounding monthly menstruation, hormonal acne can be extremely bothersome and frustrating. This particular type of acne can be the only time that many consumers must struggle with acne, or it can be increased flare ups of already existing acne. Regardless of what the reason is, consumers are eager to solve the problem and rid themselves of acne. The solution may be far more simple that you could have imagined.

For many females, hormonal acne can appear as small bumps, almost appearing to be under the skin, that come out during periods of hormonal change. Usually associated with their periods, this only adds to the overall “pleasure” of this time of month. The concern with this type of acne is that exposing your skin to a rigorous or damaging acne product can actually make the issue worse rather than better, and that is not the result we are looking for. Treatment is not difficult, but it does need to be followed to the letter to achieve the results that you desire.

To begin with, finding the right cleanser is paramount. Now you may think you have the best cleanser and you may think that you have tried cleansers that sound similar. If you want to resolve this problem, you need to be sure to get facial cleansers that contain, not only these active ingredients, but also ensure that you are using products of documented quality. To begin with glycolic acid is a must, this is going to be a large part of the treatment, but it is not the only thing needed. You must combine that glycolic along with a powerful and proven anti inflammatory, anti bacterial ingredient. Most scientific evidence points to Resveratrol, an ingredient found in the skin of grapes, as the premier ingredient to accomplish, although there are others out there to choose from.

The combination of glycolic acid and resveratrol takes a different approach to the treatment of acne. It repairs the skin’s natural healing process, allowing it to better deal with the hormonal changes that occur during menstruation. While there may not be many products to choose from with this particular combination of ingredients, most that do combine it, have a well documented track record.

For those of you that are currently treating your skin with a different acne treatment, that’s fine, complete that treatment, as it is important to give products time to work. However if you are not happy once the treatment is done, move on to try this approach, you will be pleasantly surprised with the results that you achieve.

Anyone that has dealt with or suffered from oily skin knows how desperate one can be to remedy the situation. While there are many suggestions out there on how to deal with oily skin, seldom do they deliver. Read on to find out the combination of ingredients that have proven to be the most effective in the removal of oily skin.

Acne can cause a series of conditions within the skin, some of which are more bothersome than others. Of all of them oily skin is among the most annoying, and one of the most difficult to remedy. The feeling of oily skin stays with you all day and most cleansers seem to fail when faced with the challenge. There are a few key ingredients to look for in a facial cleanser that can help this issue, however there are not as many brands to choose from as you may like. The author examines oily skin and offers tips to consumers who are hoping to remedy their annoyingly stubborn oily skin.

To begin with you should be looking for a facial cleanser that contains the active ingredient glycolic acid. Now, many of us have tried cleansers that have contained glycolic acid, and in many cases those products did not deliver what we had hoped for. As I said, this is only a starting point for your solution, so bear with me and follow along, you may be pleasantly surprised if you do.

Oily skin is a bi product of a few processes that are taking place within your skin. Those processes are magnified by the symptoms of acne. Swollen, inflamed skin can trigger a oil product response as can an unhealthy balance of essential oils present within your skin, or the production of a particular enzyme. In order to remedy oil skin, you must look to maintain the health of your skin at the same time that you hope to cleanse away the excess oils. Find a facial cleanser that not only contains glycolic acid but the following ingredients and you are on the path to your oily skin solution.

Chamomile extract is a proven anti inflammatory ingredient and it is known to calm and soothe the skin. By relieving irritation you can reduce the amount of oil being produced by your skin, not to mention chamomile blocks free radicals and toxins from penetrating the skin. Aloe Vera is another ingredient we are used to hearing in skin care but not as a treatment of oily skin. Aloe Vera can be used to kill bacteria and fungus on contact making it a nice addition to a facial cleanser if oily skin is your objective. Tangerine Oil is another ingredient that will go a long way in the reduction of oils present within the skin. Tangerine Oil is a natural antiseptic so it is perfect for this, but it also sponsors new skin cell growth which is an essential aspect to treating this problem long term.

A final ingredient that has been proven to be highly effective is Resveratrol. Its use in acne is now fairly well documented and a few facial cleansers include it in their acne prone facial cleansers. But when it comes to removing oily skin its combination with the ingredients mentioned above has proven to be not only highly effective but a one of a kind cleanser.

As we mentioned there is clearly a relationship between the foods that we eat and how it affects our skin, but there is no one diet that is sure to eliminate acne in all people, and all skin types. It’s just not going to work like that. There are, however, many basic guidelines for you to consider when you are choosing your diet. We strongly recommend that you pay attention to the foods that you eat if you wish to improve your situation, and this is a great starting point for those of you that do not know which steps to take.

Eat foods that are high in protein. By having a high protein diet, you will reduce the amount of a particular enzyme that produces oil and clogged pores. By focusing on ensure that you are maintaining protein levels you can often times regain control of oily skin. Keep in mind that you also want to monitor your carbohydrate in take as well making sure to keep it below the 40-45% zone.

You may have heard that chocolate or candies cause acne, but there is very little evidence to go along with that. In reality the foods that you want to avoid are those that are high in saturated fat. Sure chocolate is high in saturated fat, but it will not cause acne any more than the saturated fats found in meats, dairy and poultry. We obviously need to find a balance between our protein intake and our saturated fat intake, doing so can be the answer you are looking for.

Design a diet for yourself, keeping in mind the balance of protein, carbs and saturated fat that you are shooting for. This process will most likely be a bit of trial and error, however by following the guides you will be able to find a diet that makes your acne better, if not control it all together. Keep in mind that certain vitamins such as vitamin A and Zinc have helped with acne and should be supplemented along with your newly designed diet. Green tea is another product that has proven to help, with regular consumption. The key is to stay patient and consistent with your diet, avoid foods high in salt content and remember that this is only part of the process of eliminating acne, you will need a top of the line acne treatment to combat the bacteria on the surface layers of your skin.

All the scrubbing and harsh ingredients that have been used to treat acne in the past may have been only prolonging the breakouts. While many of these treatments provided initial results, within days the problems returned, and in many cases got even worse. Read on to find out what the latest scientific research is saying about the treatment of acne.

There are many different approaches to the treatment of acne. Some focus on slowing the production of sebum, others attempt to dry out the skin. Some acne creams have been proven to be effective by attacking the bacteria present in the skin that actually causes the acne breakouts in the first place. But recently acne treatments have begun to use more effective treatments, focusing on the removal of inflammation within the skin, and the results have been astounding. We wanted to take a closer look at some of these treatments and offer some insight as to why this treatment may or may not be the right choice for you.

While many of these approaches to acne treatment are used and in many cases effectively, there is one thing in common with all of them. They are reacting to the conditions present within the skin. For example, working to eliminate excess oils already present within the skin will most likely help treat an existing breakout, however it doesn’t actually address eliminating the production of the sebum itself. And while working to eliminate acne causing bacteria has proven highly effective, it is also reactionary in nature, and many ingredients that accomplish this goal do so with many side effects. (some all natural ingredients have proven to do eliminate acne causing bacteria without the harsh drying and damage)

While the scrubbing and cleansing away of acne is an age old ritual, the latest beliefs within the scientific community is that working to soothe the skin and eliminate inflammation actually helps the overall skin health, and ultimately the elimination of acne. It is almost counter intuitive at first, to not be so focused on the scrubbing or cleansing, an instead allowing the active ingredients to penetrate the skin and go to work. As you know, acne can cause a red swelling of the skin, and it is what makes acne so visible to others. That inflammation is caused by irritated tissue. Causing further irritation to the area, will only result in prolonged and more severe breakouts. What the skin needs is to be able to restore itself to a healthy condition, so that it may heal the acne at their source, the imbalance within the skin.

By soothing inflamed skin with detoxifying cleansers and active ingredients designed as anti inflammatory, you are allowing your skin to heal rather than cause further irritation. Further irritation can be from scrubbing or using ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, that may provide an initial improvement to the skin, but causes further irritation to the skin, which ultimately leads to breakouts.

The key is to think about acne prone skin much like an accident waiting to happen. If you allow your skin to be irritated or inflamed then acne will breakout with abundance. But if you are using a daily regimen that allows for the cleansing, treating AND soothing of the skin, you will find the balance that you have been looking for. As much as we try to force our skin into balance with every product known to man, the reality is that we need to simply restore the health of our skin. Doing so will bring about the balance and clear skin that so many of us are desperate to achieve.

Tired of searching for the right cleanser to treat your acne? Experts have reviewed all types of facial cleansers and chosen glycolic cleansers above all others. But not all glycolic cleansers are created equally, as many of us know, so chosing the right one can be tricky. Read on to get the authors tips and get rid of your acne once and for all.

As is the case with most skin care products these days, facial cleansers are growing more and more specific with each passing day. What was once just a product to wipe away dirt and oil, perhaps some make-up, has changed into anti aging and anti acne cleansers. With so many options to choose from, many consumers are often lost in the chaos, and wind up wasting hard earned money on products that simply do not serve their needs. For this reason industry experts are doing their best to increase consumer awareness so that they can better choose the right product for their particular situation. In keeping with this trend, we thought we would share a bit more information with consumers who are looking for cleansers that work with all acne types, from the mildest breakouts to the most severe cases.

Acne is frustrating enough without having to waste money on cleansers that do not help, or worse make the breakouts increase. In most cases, this is about the quality of the cleanser itself, the active ingredients included in the cleanser, and often times consumers choosing the wrong product for their skin type or condition. For this reason, many consumers grow impatient and ultimately frustrated, feeling as though they will never find an answer for their acne. The key to finding the right product is to know what to look for, and which ingredients you want to see used.

Glycolic Acid, as an active ingredient, is such a smart starting point for an acne cleanser because of the fact that it works on all acne types and is suitable for all skin types as well. Now not all glycolic cleansers are created equal. If you have tried a glycolic cleanser in the past and feel that it did not do the trick, this may be because it was a lower quality cleanser or perhaps the formula of that particular brand was inferior. There is no doubt that you want your cleanser to use glycolic acid if you are suffering from acne, the question is which brand to look for.

Glycolic acid is derived from all natural sources and therefore it is most suitable within a well balanced all natural formula as well. While many skin care companies will offer all natural claims, only a few have respected reputations within the industry. Look for cleansers that combine active ingredients like Resveratrol to add the bonus of eliminating acne causing bacteria at the same time that it washes away excess dirt and oils.

The best acne cleansers are usually made by brands that offer some of the best acne treatments available on the market. Read some of the consumer review sites out there and other consumer advocacy sites like this one and find brands that consistently rank among the best. From there you can quickly scan the ingredient list and see if this particular product suits your needs. Glycolic acid and resveratrol are two of the best ingredients to combine, and are often called detoxifying cleansers , and will shorten the list up rather quickly from there, making your decision that much easier.

While our opinion is just that, we derived our views based upon non-emotional criteria. Look at the science and the studies behind these types of products and you too will see some of the world’s most prestigious universities and most respected scientists standing behind the use of these two ingredients above all else in an acne cleanser. If it’s good enough for them, I feel confident in passing the referral along to you. Read about the most proven glycolic cleansers and best acne treatment available on the market today.

(OUR TOP RATED) Dermagist's reputation for being on the cutting edge of new treatments for the skin was supported with this acne treatment. A two product combination of a cleanser and an acne cream is fairly common, but the ingredients used in this system are a FIRST. Basing the launch of this product on a seriously exciting discovery made at Oxford University, Dermagist combined all natural ingredients in this acne system, and is making all the benzoyl peroxide creams reconsider their efforts. A safer and better alternative for curing acne, we took a look at how this 2 product acne treatment performed.

Dermagist Acne Treatment System Grade: A+

This was a really great product, for the treatment of acne, as well as the overall health of the skin and body. NO other acne product on the market worked as well as Dermajuv. Amazingly fast results, along with the fact that there are no side effects, makes the Dermajuv Acne Treatment System the #1 pick of acnecream.com.

Visit Dermagist.com to learn more or buy.

Completely free of Benzoyl Peroxide, this is a dramatically effective acne treatment with some serious science behind it. The most important parts of treating acne is killing of the bacteria that cause the pimples, and healing and calming the skin without making the acne itself worse. That is a very tough challenge, and most companies resort to harsh chemicals to “try” to get the job done. Dermagist, on the other hand, tackles the two sides of treating acne Head-on, and does so all naturally. Here is how we reviewed the Demagist Acne Treatment System on both the clearing and healing sides of the coin.

First, the main ingredient used to kill the acne causing bacteria, in both the cleanser and the acne cream is Resveratrol. Oxford University released a study that showed Resveratrol as equally effective as Benzoyl Peroxide in killing the bacteria, but because it has NONE of the dangerous side effects that benzoyl has, it is a far better solution… Read the study on the Oxford Journals. More costly, but far better. As an additional benefit, Resveratrol is a very powerful antioxidant, which can help get the toxins out of the skin too, which boosts the products’ ability to clear acne even further. Lastly, we have all heard of the miraculous anti aging benefits of Resveratrol.. It has been discussed on Dr. Oz, Oprah, Barbara Walters, and even 60 minutes, as a potential miracle cure for aging. Resveratrol’s use in Dermagist’s acne products have nothing to do with the whole “anti aging buzz” surrounding this ingredient, but hey, it’s pretty cool to know that you are not only clearing up your acne, but also giving your skin a powerful anti aging treatment as well.

What else does it have that clears the acne? The cleanser uses Glycolic Acid to gently exfoliate the dead skin and bacteria that often cause acne too. It’s a gentle treatment that doesn’t run the risk of irritating the acne further, yet it gets the job done of stimulating new healthy cell growth in the skin. The cleanser also has Tangerine oil in it, which further exfoliates and kills bacteria, while also priming the skin to absorb the therapeutic ingredients that calm and sooth the redness and infection that comes with acne.

The acne cream, in addition to the resveratrol, contains Niacinimide and Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate to naturally and almost immediately begin clearing and healing the acne. “The acne literally starts to go away right before your eyes”, was a comment from a user we asked for a review from. The report was that there was no peeling or shiny dryness that usually goes along with acne treatments. Instead, the skin stayed moist and oil free, with a healthy glow… all while the acne and redness was literally washed away.

Clearing the actual pimples is only one thing that this system does. The other side of the coin, is that it soothes and calms that red, irritated skin, that makes the acne so visible. Making the acne less visible to the eye, is just as important as killing the pimples.

What does Dermagist’s acne system do in regard to making the RED go away?

It has Chamomile, which is known for its incredible soothing and “red removing” properties.

Aloe Vera is contained in the cleanser for its amazing healing and calming properties.

Shea butter moisturizes and calms the skin, all without clogging pores or adding grease or oil.

Overall, the Dermagist Acne Treatment System is the best thing for the money, when it comes to curing acne, and making it less visible. We highly recommend it, based on its performance, as well as it’s safe, all natural ingredients.

FREE of dangerous Benzoyl Peroxide!

There is a huge difference between Dermajuv’s acne system and other industry leaders… Dermajuv refuses to use Benzoyl Peroxide in their creams or cleansers. The reason is that Benzoyl Peroxide causes Free Radicals in the skin, and that is the same as spending time unprotected in the sun. Also, it irritates the skin, and often causes the acne to look worse. Overdry and flaky is often how the skin is described when Benzoyl Peroxide is used. That, combined with the development of tumors in lab tests with mice, Benzoyl Peroxide is deemed DANGEROUS by Dermajuv and is BANNED from use in any Dermajuv product.

If you are an acne sufferer and you have a TV, you are almost guaranteed to have heard of this product. The Celebrity endorsed acne treatment claims to actually customize and acne treatment based upon a 20 question quiz that you must take online. We have to admit the “customization” aspect of this product makes it appealing and it is certainly understandable why consumers would want to purchase this product, as it implies that perhaps the reason you have had trouble in the past is because you are using generic products and not products specifically for your skin type. The customization and the massive amounts of advertising that they do, makes it a no brainer for making our list of products to review.

To Buy Neutrogena Skin iD:

To buy Neutrogena Skin iD, click the button and go directly to their site.

Neutrogena Skin iD is available to buy on their company website. They offer a trial purchase price that is around $40. We urge you to read the whole review and info before buying Skin iD

Main active ingredients in Skin iD

Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid

What we say about Skin iD

Neutrogena is clearly an established name within the skin care industry and one would expect a quality product, especially with the kind of marketing dollars they are spending. It is difficult to find much information about how these product will treat your acne or what science it is based upon. Most of the information revolves around the fact that you get to answer questions and you will get your skin ID which indicates which products you need. Once you examine it a bit closer you realize that it is really just another combination of Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid, two active ingredients that are widely considered harsh and damaging to your skin.

As active ingredients these are some of the harshest that there is. Often times users will develop skin reactions to them and they have been linked to some long term use damage that can be as severe as skin cancer. This is a difficult tradeoff to make when treating acne, but their use is certainly not new and many consumers consider it a reasonable risk if it works.

In our testing, unfortunately, the results we saw were minimum. Some had better experiences with the product than others and those who did claimed that their skin was cleared and that after the blemishes eventually disappeared their skin did remain a bit clearer. Our findings suggested that the majority of users would find a rapid drying of their skin in the first few days. A few days afterwards they found that the acne began to reappear and in some cases came back more harsh. Others felt that the products drying was damaging the skin and causing acne scars.

Overal take on Neutrogena Skin iD

This is a well publicized product and it will continue to be used and for some it may be the answer that they have been looking for. For the rest of us, this is another three product system that promises the world and very few of us get the results we heard about from the celebrities. This is moderately priced, and it is an interesting gimmick, but in the end you will find that there are far more effective products out there to purchase, so don’t go tattooing your Skin ID on your body just yet. Chances are you will be using another acne treatment before long.
