Tazorac
Hyped as a fast working acne treatment, Tazorac is supposed to absorb quickly and work to eliminate future acne breakouts. The second version of the product is to the treatment of mild acne. So essentially one product treats acne, another one works to prevent it. It’s kind of a sneaky way to make you purchase two products or gain twice the profit if you have both current acne, AND would like to prevent future breakouts….imagine that. I guess its all you can expect from a major corporation, who may not focus on the end user as much as some more passionate companies.
The major knock on this product is that it leaves skin extremely dry, itchy and even stingy with regular use. For many of us acne sufferers this is nothing new, and we are fully aware of the damages that it can cause long term to your skin. The problem is that products that do this to your skin, they work initially and it appears two or three days into the treatment that they are working and eliminating the acne, but days later the acne is back and this time worse than before.
Overall
Because this product has one version for prevention and one version for acne treatment it gets rather pricey to accomplish what most of us are looking for, both. To do that, consumers are looking at over $120 dollars for a product that dries out your skin and only prevents acne for the first few days. No thanks. This product is not special enough to warrant that kind of price and Tazorac is fading in popularity. How often would you continue you purchasing this product, if it was not delivering results? While it may work for some, and testimonials say it does, for most it is one of those learning experience that has you think twice before running out and buying an expensive acne treatment assuming it is one of the best.
