the zeno thing that supposedly zaps zitsImagining a world that allows you to live cleanser free and acne cream free would be nice, but what is this going to do to eliminate future acne breakouts? And can this heating of inflamed tissue result in further acne scars?  We felt that we could at least review the product and share the information so that consumers do not have to run the gauntlet so to speak.

Zeno is a cell phone sized device that intends to heat up the pimple to 120 degrees.  According to them this will kill off the bacteria and reduce the inflammation in the area.  An interesting concept however heating already sensitive tissue could create some damage that may result in scarring.  Our experts also said that they were hesitant to see how this product would work on more severe breakouts including whiteheads, blackheads and otherwise.  Needless to say, Zeno had some critics to appease.

The user’s guide confirmed some of our suspicions where they seemingly admit that it wont work on whiteheads and blackheads and nodular acne or severe acne breakouts.  Well then who is it for?  Most people who have minor and occasional blemishes are not out seeking a serious acne treatment.  And I guess for someone who gets a zit once a month and they notice it before it becomes a full blown whitehead then maybe Zeno works for them.  But for the rest of us, it doesn’t even claim to work

As a resource site for acne sufferers we are here to provide consumers a competitive edge in the market place.  Products like this never throw out all the facts before you buy it, only in small print after you do so.  This is NOT a product to be used by anyone with a serious skin condition, this is for the occasional pimple and to impress friends with.  Not to mention replacing the tip (heating mechanism) can be costly and the amount of time that it would take you to treat each pimple or breakout would so darn time consuming.  Estimated treatment is 2.5 minutes per pimple, for many of our readers it would take so long to treat their face they would need to take a day off.  This is a red flag product in our opinion and you should stay clear of it, unless you know exactly and I mean precisely what you are getting for your money.
